Performing a Hard Refresh on macOS
If a website does not display correctly on your Mac, a hard refresh can often resolve the issue. A hard refresh reloads the page while bypassing the browser cache.
To perform a hard refresh, use one of the following options:
- Press Command + Shift + R.
- Alternatively, hold the Shift key while selecting “Reload Page” from your browser menu.
This ensures that all content is loaded directly from the server instead of using cached files. A hard refresh is especially helpful when you expect changes on a page but they are not yet visible, or when layout and display issues occur.
This method works in common browsers such as Safari, Chrome, and Firefox.
