KassenSichV and Cloud TSE
To comply with the German Cash Register Security Ordinance (KassenSichV), electronic cash register systems must use a certified technical security device, known as TSE. The regulation defines technical standards that ensure transactions are recorded in a tamper-proof way.
Travelmanager uses the Fiskaly Cloud TSE, which is fully certified by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). This allows booking and sales data to be processed securely in the cloud and the legally required TSE signature data to be printed on your receipts.
How the TSE process works:
- When a booking is created, the booking data is transmitted to the Cloud TSE.
- Travelmanager receives the TSE signature data.
- The signature data is printed on your receipts for traceability.
What Happens During an Internet Outage?
If the internet connection is temporarily unavailable, the cash register may continue to be used. However, the issue must be resolved promptly so the requirements of Section 146a of the German Fiscal Code can be met again as quickly as possible.
During the outage, receipts are marked accordingly with the note “TSE unavailable”.
Setup Process
To activate TSE in your Travelmanager system, please provide your tax number, VAT ID, economic identification number if available, and current company address.
PHCOM will then set up a KassenSichV account in the cloud and connect it to your Travelmanager installation.
Please also let us know where the TSE data should appear on your receipt. We will adjust the receipt template accordingly.
