Creating a Customer Account
When a new customer registers in the online shop, a customer account is created automatically. If a customer is created in the backend, a customer account is also created. The assignment is always based on the email address.

Login Options
When an existing customer buys again, they are asked for either their customer number or password. By default, the customer number is used.
If you want to enable password login, activate it in the backend under System parameters > Settings > Shop.


Forgotten Password
If a customer has forgotten the password or does not yet have one because the account was created in the backend, they can request a new password on the login page of the online shop.
Requesting Login Data
On the login page, customers can request their login data by entering the email address stored in the customer account. After clicking Send, the new password is sent by email.


Requesting a New Password
The email contains a link that opens the frontend and displays the new password. The customer can then log in with the email address and this password.
Changing the Password
In the customer area, customers can change their password. If no other password has been set yet, enter the password from the email in the Old password field.
